To optimise supply chain efficiency and reduce operating costs, this manufacturer planned to outsource an element of stores management and spares supply to a third party.
Already enjoying a successful partnership with Worldwide Engineering for the supply of pneumatic components and fasteners, our client invited us to tender for the contract. The project brief was to create a sustainable and cost-efficient source of supply: managing an onsite stock and supply chain to ensure excellent availability of spare parts with transactional costs kept to a minimum.
We have invested in managing the client’s stock by providing a special “Twinbin” stock management solution: there is now no need for the client to handle the stock as it is counted and replenished by Worldwide Engineering out with normal working hours. Additionally, we provide a weekly invoice which reduces the overall involvement of the client.
After the first phase implementation,Worldwide Engineering has saved the client around £40,000 by applying our lean management approach.
